Job Description
Bulkley Trucking is a well-established trucking company that has been operating since 1987, known for its core values of respect, honesty, and providing good miles to its drivers. As a reputable player in the transportation industry, Bulkley Trucking specializes in over-the-road (OTR) freight hauling, focusing on delivering efficient and reliable service across long distances. The company fosters a supportive and driver-focused culture, emphasizing work-life balance, competitive compensation, and quality equipment to ensure that drivers have the resources needed to succeed and enjoy their careers. Bulkley Trucking consistently invests in its workforce, offering exceptional home time, comprehensive benefits, and a variety of incentives that make it a sought-after employer in the trucking sector.
The CDL-A Company Solo and Team OTR Truck Drivers roles at Bulkley Trucking offer lucrative pay packages along with strong support and flexible options for drivers. Solo drivers can earn between $70,000 and $85,000 plus annually, while team drivers have the potential to earn $78,000 to $90,000 or more. This position comes with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,250, and a competitive base pay rate ranging from $0.46 to $0.52 cents per mile for solo drivers, and $0.57 to $0.67 cents per mile for team drivers. Additional bonuses include a fuel bonus of up to $0.05 per mile on top of base pay and a per diem allowance. New hires receive paid orientation and have access to a $1,000 referral bonus as well.
Drivers employed at Bulkley Trucking benefit from excellent home time with options for 34 or 48-hour resets, and the company exclusively uses no-touch freight, reducing physical strain and increasing convenience. The environment is further enhanced by team potlucks and driver appreciation week celebrations, contributing to a strong community feel. Additional perks such as paid time off, short-term disability, full health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, rider and pet programs, and direct deposit every Friday reflect the company’s dedication to employee well-being. Furthermore, Bulkley Trucking provides modern, automatic Volvo trucks equipped with advanced technology like Best Pass and DriverWise systems, as well as XM radio for driver comfort and safety.
The company has clear requirements for applicants including a Class A CDL, being at least 21 years of age, and having a minimum of one year’s relevant driving experience. They conduct comprehensive drug screenings including urinalysis and hair follicle tests, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Candidates with less experience (6 to 12 months) are welcomed as team drivers initially before transitioning to solo status, providing a pathway for new drivers to grow within the company. This opportunity is ideal for professional truckers looking to join a company that values respect, honesty, and driver satisfaction while providing competitive pay and excellent work conditions.
