Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Meet all DOT (FMCSA) requirements
  • Live within 60 miles of the distribution center at the time of hire
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL license from the state of residence
  • Complete a D.O.T. application and clearinghouse check
  • Successfully pass MVR requirements, drug test, and background check
  • No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
  • No more than 2 of the same type of moving violations in the last 3 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 10 years
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from -10F to 100F
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds frequently and up to 2000 pounds with mechanical assistance occasionally
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking to follow instructions and complete paperwork
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as business needs arise
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 percent for operator visits, supplier visits, and conferences

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to operate state-of-the-art delivery equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 65 pounds
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Experience with food service or key drop delivery preferred
  • Commitment to safety and customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Make safe, timely deliveries within established restaurant delivery windows
  • Unload and stage product at 4-6 restaurants per shift
  • Complete all pickups and returns including pallets and carts and properly submit associated paperwork
  • Assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment upon return to the distribution center
  • Keep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues
  • Operate within hours-of-service limits using electronic logging devices
  • Follow all pre- and post-trip equipment inspection and DVIR reporting procedures
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
  • Lead with care by exhibiting honor, dignity, and respect towards all personnel encountered
  • Build relationships with restaurant operators and collaborate with team leaders to improve delivery efficiency and resolve issues
  • Perform additional duties and growth opportunities as assigned
