This position requires operating tractor trailer tankers while strictly adhering to safety standards, company protocols, and federal regulations related to the transportation of hazardous and cryogenic materials. Safety and attention to detail are paramount, as the driver must ensure secure handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, transfer equipment, and must consistently monitor pressure levels and temperature readings throughout deliveries to ensure safe unloading procedures.
The driver will also be tasked with conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate shipping documentation and logbooks, and complying with Department of Transportation regulations pertaining to hazardous materials shipping orders and paperwork. Maintenance awareness is critical as the driver must identify and report any vehicle repair or maintenance needs promptly. Beyond operational duties, this role involves building and maintaining positive professional relationships with both internal teams and external customers, aligning closely with business objectives and customer satisfaction goals. The driver will be on a schedule of 5 days on and 3 days off, offering a work-life balance alongside competitive compensation with average annual earnings of $93,000.
Linde provides extensive benefits including an employee pension plan, 401k matching up to 5%, paid time off, paid holidays, company-paid health, dental, disability, and life insurance, annual boot reimbursement, uniforms, and access to new late-model equipment. Training is provided for qualified drivers.
