The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver role is a vital part of Linde’s logistics operations, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen. Drivers in this position operate tractor-trailer tankers, delivering products to various customer sites, including government facilities and secure locations that require thorough background checks and compliance with increased security protocols. This role demands a high level of safety awareness and attention to detail, as handling cryogenic gases involves strict adherence to regulations and company protocols. Drivers conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage trailer coupling and uncoupling, and secure transfer hoses and fittings to ensure the safe transfer of gases during deliveries. Monitoring pressure levels and temperature readings is also crucial to guarantee safe unloading and compliance with hazardous material shipping standards.
As part of the job, drivers maintain accurate documentation such as shipping papers and logbooks in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. They identify vehicle maintenance needs to ensure reliability and safety and foster professional relationships with both internal teams and customers. Linde supports its drivers by offering competitive pay, paid weekly, with opportunities for local drivers to earn up to $105,000 annually. Additional benefits include a matching 401k program, a company-paid pension plan with full vesting after three years, paid holidays, and paid training. Drivers enjoy the advantage of being home daily and having consecutive days off, reflecting Linde’s commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being. The company also provides boot reimbursement to support driver safety and comfort. This full-time position provides a stable career path with comprehensive support and benefits for qualified professionals ready to contribute to Linde’s success and mission.
