Job Description

Air Products is a global leader in the industrial gas industry, with a long-standing history of over 80 years of experience. The company is recognized as the world’s largest producer of hydrogen and is committed to delivering safe, innovative, and sustainable solutions that address the world’s most significant energy and environmental challenges. As a Fortune 500 company, Air Products operates with a strong emphasis on safety, diversity, and inclusion, fostering a workplace culture where every employee feels valued and included. The company’s innovative approach and commitment to sustainability have positioned it at the forefront of the industrial gas industry, driving forward projects that contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future globally.

At its Bethlehem, Pennsylvania facility, Air Products currently seeks dedicated and safety-conscious CDL A Truck Drivers to join their esteemed team. This role is integral in ensuring the safe delivery of critical industrial gases such as liquid Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Argon to customers within a 250-mile radius, including major metropolitan areas like New York City. Drivers here are recognized for their excellence in safety and customer service, with many having achieved remarkable milestones such as 1 million safe miles, highlighting the company’s commitment to safety and performance excellence.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that values its employees through competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. The average yearly earnings potential for this role is approximately $110,000, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding safety and dedication. Additionally, drivers benefit from being home daily, quarterly safety and performance bonuses of up to 6%, and company-provided personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hats, and new boots annually. Comprehensive paid training is also provided, emphasizing the company’s investment in the professional growth and safety of its workforce.

Air Products operates on a 24/7 schedule with bid shifts covering afternoons, nights, and weekends, offering flexibility while maintaining a stable year-round workload. The role is also part of the Veteran Apprenticeship Program, underscoring the company’s dedication to supporting veterans by offering valuable career opportunities and a workplace that respects and honors their service. This program aims to integrate veterans into the company’s operations, leveraging their unique skills, dedication, and leadership qualities.

In addition to competitive compensation and a commitment to safety, Air Products offers an extensive benefits package from the first day of employment. Employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement savings plan with immediate vesting of company contributions; paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, and parental leave; adoption assistance; flexible spending accounts; life insurance including AD&D coverage; and an Employee Assistance Program. The company’s investment in its workforce is evident not only through these benefits but also via its dedication to providing newer equipment and eliminating back-breaking loading and unloading tasks, enhancing the overall job experience.

For professionals who seek a rewarding career where safety, respect, inclusion, and innovation drive daily work, the CDL A Truck Driver role at Air Products is a compelling opportunity. With a focus on delivering crucial gases safely and efficiently, and a culture that promotes growth and stability, Air Products stands out as an employer of choice in the industrial gas sector. Prospective candidates can look forward to joining a team that values their contributions and supports their professional journey in a forward-thinking, sustainable company.
