Job Description
CEVA Logistics is a global leader in supply chain management and logistics, providing comprehensive transportation and distribution solutions to a diverse range of industries. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, CEVA Logistics offers tailored services that optimize efficiency and streamline operations for its commercial clients. Their presence in Miami, FL, is a strategic hub for regional transport, serving numerous commercial customers with dedicated and dependable delivery services. CEVA emphasizes safety, reliability, and professionalism across its operations and values the contribution of every team member towards achieving these goals.
The role of Tractor Owner Operator at CEVA Logistics in Miami, FL, presents a lucrative opportunity for experienced independent contractors who are interested in operating exclusively under CEVA’s authority. This position involves hauling CEVA’s 53-foot dry van trailers to deliver goods locally, focusing on commercial customers within approximately 80 miles of Miami on a Monday through Friday schedule. This job offers the advantage of being home daily, helping maintain a healthy work-life balance. Operator partners can expect top earnings grossing up to $156,000 annually, with average weekly earnings ranging between $2,500 and $3,000. Compensation is facilitated through weekly settlements processed by Comdata, ensuring timely payments. Additionally, there is a sign-on incentive totaling $1,500 paid out over three months and a driver referral bonus that rewards $1,000 for each driver hired, paid after 90 days.
In this role, operators will benefit from a stable work environment with no forced dispatch, allowing for some level of control over routes and schedules. CEVA offers voluntary insurance programs, including liability, non-trucking, physical damage, and occupational accident insurance, providing valuable protection options tailored to owner-operators. Roadside assistance is also available, ensuring support when unexpected issues arise. Health benefits can be purchased for additional security and peace of mind. Shift operations start at 6 a.m. and run Monday through Friday, making the role suitable for those seeking structured and consistent working hours.
Applicants must ensure that their tractors are ten years old or newer and comply with company standards regarding color — specifically red, white, or blue. CEVA is committed to inclusive hiring practices and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, emphasizing non-discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or veteran status. This equal opportunity employment ensures a respectful and diverse workplace culture. The role requires the owners to be based within 30 miles of Miami, FL, aligning with the regional route design and local delivery focus.
