Job Description

Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with annual sales of approximately $33 billion as of 2024. They are recognized worldwide for their commitment to enhancing productivity through innovative solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and an extensive range of industrial gases and services that help customers succeed while sustaining and protecting the planet. With operations spanning various industries such as chemicals and refining, food and beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, and primary metals, Linde’s products hold paramount importance in everyday applications. These range from providing life-saving oxygen to hospitals to supplying specialty and high-purity gases for electronics manufacturing, as well as hydrogen for emerging clean fuel technologies. Additionally, Linde delivers state-of-the-art gas processing systems that drive customer growth, improve operational efficiency, and reduce emissions, illustrating the company's proactive role in advancing sustainable industrial practices.

Linde is currently seeking dedicated Class A Bulk Tanker Drivers in Memphis, Tennessee, to join their team. This employment opportunity is full-time, offering a competitive compensation package with drivers earning an average annual salary of $95,000. The position focuses on safely and efficiently delivering industrial gases—including liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen—to various customer sites via tractor-trailer tankers. Drivers in this role are integral to Linde's logistics operations and are expected to strictly adhere to all applicable safety standards, laws, and regulations, particularly those related to the specialized transportation of cryogenic gases. The role may also require deliveries to locations with heightened security protocols such as government facilities, necessitating compliance with rigorous background checks and security measures.

The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver role emphasizes a paramount focus on safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. Drivers are responsible for conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their vehicles, coupling and uncoupling trailers when necessary, and handling specialized equipment like cryogenic tanks and hoses with utmost care. Monitoring the pressure and temperature of gas deliveries is critical to ensure safe unloading processes, and drivers maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Building and maintaining professional relationships with internal colleagues and external customers is also a vital aspect of the job, as is a continuous commitment to developing knowledge of Linde’s business operations to support the company’s growth objectives.

Linde offers an outstanding benefits package including health, dental, disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and vacation, a 401(k) plan with up to 5% matching, a pension plan with 4% contributions, a monthly safety bonus, and an employee discount program. Benefits begin on the first day of the month following the hire date, and the work environment is designed to be safe and clean, with no heavy manual tasks such as strapping, enabling drivers to finish their workdays as clean as when they started. The company promotes a safety-first culture and offers stable, consistent work with favorable schedules including back-to-back days off. This position provides an excellent opportunity for experienced tanker drivers seeking a rewarding, well-compensated career with a respected industry leader.
