The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver role at Linde is a pivotal position within the company’s logistics operations. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen to various customer sites via tractor trailer tankers. As a critical team member, the driver must adhere to stringent safety standards, laws, and regulations while transporting these cryogenic substances. Due to the sensitive nature of the materials involved, the driver must comply with company protocols specifically related to the handling and transportation of cryogenic products.
In some instances, deliveries may include government facilities and other sites that require extensive background checks and strict compliance with heightened security and safety protocols. Therefore, attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. The driver is responsible for conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and handling transfer hoses and couplings correctly, monitoring pressure levels and temperature readings to ensure secure unloading, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation according to Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and company policies.
This position offers an average annual salary of $95,000 and includes numerous benefits such as paid weekly compensation, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions up to 5%, a pension plan offering a 4% contribution, paid vacation and holidays, and monthly safety bonuses. Drivers can expect stable, consistent work with the advantage of back-to-back days off, no strapping duties allowing them to return home clean, and a strong safety-first company culture. Benefits begin on the first of the month following the date of hire, supporting drivers from day one.
Ideal candidates will possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, have a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum of two to three years’ experience driving tractor-trailers or tanker trailers. They should be able to follow customer safety protocols diligently and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers to support business objectives and service needs. The role also emphasizes continuous learning to help drivers understand Linde’s business operations and contribute to its ongoing growth in a meaningful way.
This is a local driving position based in Memphis, TN, highlighting the company’s focus on serving regional customer bases with efficiency and safety. As drivers represent the face of Linde in many customer interactions, professionalism and a safety-conscious mindset are critical. The driver’s role supports Linde’s mission of delivering reliable gas supplies while helping advance environmental sustainability and operational excellence in the industrial gases sector.
