Job Description

Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company, recognized for its commitment to innovation and excellence with 2024 sales reaching $33 billion. The company serves a diverse array of industries, including chemicals and refining, food and beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, and primary metals. Linde’s industrial gases are vital to numerous applications, ranging from life-saving oxygen used in hospitals to high-purity and specialty gases essential in electronics manufacturing. The company is also at the forefront of advancing clean fuel technologies such as hydrogen and delivering sophisticated gas processing solutions aimed at boosting customer efficiency, supporting expansion projects, and driving emissions reductions. With a steadfast mission to make the world more productive every day, Linde provides high-quality solutions, technologies, and services that empower customers to succeed while sustaining and protecting the environment.

The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver position is a crucial role within Linde’s logistics operation, focused on transporting industrial gases like liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, carbon dioxide (CO2), and hydrogen safely and efficiently to customer sites. This position involves operating tractor-trailer tankers to deliver products, occasionally to high-security locations such as government facilities, which require rigorous background checks and adherence to stringent safety and security protocols. This role demands a strong dedication to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and strict compliance with all safety standards, laws, and regulations, particularly those governing the handling and transport of cryogenic materials.

The driver’s daily responsibilities encompass conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, performing trailer coupling and uncoupling tasks, and managing the connection and disconnection of transfer hoses securely. Monitoring pressure and temperature during deliveries to ensure safe unloading and maintaining accurate shipping documentation and logbooks in line with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies is essential. Additionally, identifying vehicle maintenance needs promptly and fostering professional relationships with both internal teams and external customers to achieve business objectives characterize the role. Linde places a strong emphasis on continuous learning, encouraging drivers to deepen their understanding of the company’s operations and contribute to its ongoing growth.

This role offers considerable benefits including competitive compensation with salaries averaging over $100,000 annually, paid training for those without tanker experience, and a reliable work schedule featuring five days on and two days off with home daily privileges. Additional perks such as direct deposit weekly, 16 days of paid time off, paid holidays, a matching 401(k) plan up to 5%, a pension plan offering an additional 4% benefit, boot reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits starting the first of the month after hire make this an attractive career opportunity. The working environment is clean, stable, and team-oriented, supporting a positive and professional atmosphere for employees.

Linde is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy, or any other protected category. This position represents not just a job, but a chance to build a meaningful career with a global leader in industrial gases and engineering. Prospective applicants are encouraged to take the next step in their professional journey and apply today to join Linde’s dedicated team of Class A Bulk Tanker Drivers.
