Sysco is currently seeking dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join its dynamic team. This is a full-time position that involves the safe and efficient operation of a tractor-trailer to deliver a wide variety of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies. Drivers will work on assigned route schedules and manually unload deliveries at customer locations. Job Requirements
- 21 or older
- Pass employment testing
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Ability to read speak and understand English sufficiently
- Physical ability to lift and move products weighing up to 100 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility to work overtime weekends and holidays as business needs require
Job Qualifications
- 21 or older
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Experience with customer delivery preferred
- Hands-on experience with hand cart or hand truck preferred
- Food and beverage industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated consistent work history preferred
Job Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailer to deliver various food and supply products
- Manually unload and deliver products to customer locations on assigned route schedules
- Build positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional interaction
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies during deliveries
- Maintain accurate reports and records related to deliveries
- Manage physical handling of freight, lifting products weighing 40-60 pounds and up to 100 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibly work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
