With an extensive range of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies, Sysco prides itself on quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service. The company fosters a culture of teamwork, innovation, and growth, making it a respected and sought-after employer in the industry.
Sysco is currently seeking dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers who are committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves operating tractor-trailer vehicles to transport a variety of food products and supplies directly to customer locations on pre-assigned route schedules. Drivers at Sysco play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by delivering products accurately and professionally while exhibiting a positive and friendly demeanor. The ability to become familiar with customer operations and effectively meet needs and expectations is essential in this position.
This career opportunity offers excellent pay, including productivity incentives, and most CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers benefit from daily routes that allow them to be home nightly. The position requires physical stamina as it involves manually unloading and handling freight that can weigh between 40 to 60 pounds on average and occasionally up to 100 pounds repeatedly. Candidate flexibility is also necessary to accommodate overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs.
Sysco supports its employees through comprehensive benefits such as paid vacation and holidays, ongoing job skills and leadership development training, and career growth opportunities with a strong commitment to promoting from within. New hires are eligible for benefits starting the first day of the month following or coinciding with 31 days from the date of hire. Other benefits include comprehensive healthcare and retirement plans, employee discount programs, service recognition and rewards, safety programs, tuition reimbursement, uniforms, and more. Sysco fosters an environment that values hard work, dedication, and a shared passion for foodservice excellence.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals who meet the minimum requirements such as holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL), being at least 21 years old, passing employment tests, and possessing adequate English communication skills for safety and customer interactions. Preferred qualifications include customer delivery experience, hand cart or hand truck experience, food and beverage industry familiarity, and a consistent work history. If you are ready to join an industry leader that drives success through its employees’ commitment and passion, Sysco invites you to apply for the CDL A Delivery Truck Driver position and be part of a company that is more than just a workplace—it's a community dedicated to growth and excellence.
