Operating within a cross-dock model, the driver picks up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at assigned loading docks and returns empty trucks to the designated lot upon route completion. This position requires physical strength and stamina, as drivers frequently lift and move packages weighing up to 100 pounds and navigate various terrains including ramps, stairs, and docks in all weather conditions.

This role also demands excellent customer service skills, as drivers verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and professionally handle any discrepancies or complaints. They maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and following company safety policies. The ideal candidate should be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record, and possess the ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet business demands.
