Sysco is currently seeking dependable Local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join their team immediately. This role is crucial in safely and efficiently operating tractor-trailers to deliver a wide variety of products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies, to numerous customer locations following an assigned route schedule. The CDL A Delivery Truck Driver plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service with a positive and friendly attitude while becoming familiar with each customer’s unique operations to meet their needs and exceed expectations.

Job Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • Pass employment testing
  • Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a driving record that meets company standards
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and understanding traffic signs
  • Ability to lift, push, or move product weighing 40-60 pounds on average and up to 100 pounds repeatedly
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass employment testing
  • Customer delivery experience preferred
  • Hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
  • Food and beverage industry experience preferred
  • Consistent work history preferred

Job Duties

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer to deliver various products on assigned routes
  • Manually unload and deliver freight including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through friendly interactions
  • Follow delivery schedule and route plans efficiently
  • Handle freight with care, lifting and moving products up to 100 pounds
  • Adhere to company safety and regulatory standards
  • Communicate with customers and management regarding delivery issues and status
