Sysco is currently hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers who will play a critical role in the company’s operations. This employment opportunity is designed for individuals who are experienced and responsible, able to safely and efficiently operate tractor-trailers. The primary responsibility of the driver is to manually unload and deliver a diverse range of products to customer locations following an assigned route schedule. Successful candidates will handle freight that often requires physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing on average between 40 to 60 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds, repeatedly throughout the workday. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, with overtime, weekends, and holidays scheduled as business needs demand.

Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets company insurability standards. They must be able to communicate effectively in English to interact with the public, understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and complete required documentation accurately. Preferred candidates have previous experience in customer delivery, food and beverage handling, and using hand carts or hand trucks, alongside a stable work history. Job Requirements

  • 21 or older
  • Pass employment testing
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL with driving record meeting insurability standards
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively
  • Ability to lift and move products weighing 40-60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
