Sysco Kansas City, Inc. is currently seeking dependable and professional local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join their team. This role involves safely and efficiently operating tractor-trailers to deliver a diverse range of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies to various customer locations along an assigned route schedule. A typical day involves physical activity including lifting and pushing freight weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • ability to read, speak, and understand English for communication and traffic sign comprehension
  • physically capable of lifting and moving freight weighing 40-60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds
  • flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with clean driving record
  • ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse and understand highway signs
  • experience preferred in customer delivery, use of hand carts or hand trucks, food and beverage industry, and consistent work history

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer to deliver various products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule
  • unload and manually handle freight weighing between 40 to 100 pounds
  • build and maintain positive customer relationships through friendly and professional interaction
  • follow all safety regulations and traffic laws while driving
  • complete necessary reports and records accurately
