With a large network operating throughout the United States and Canada, Sysco is renowned for its commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, and innovation within the foodservice industry. The company focuses on delivering a broad range of products including fresh meat, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and supplies, positioning itself as a key partner for businesses seeking comprehensive foodservice solutions. Sysco also places great emphasis on fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and professional development, making it a preferred employer for many seeking long-term career opportunities.

The role of a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco is integral to the company's operation and customer satisfaction. This position is designed for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who are skilled at operating tractor-trailers and managing the delivery of various food and related products. Drivers on assigned routes are responsible not only for timely and efficient delivery but also for building positive relationships with customers by understanding their specific needs and expectations. This role requires physical stamina as it involves manually unloading and handling products that may weigh between 40 to 100 pounds. Flexibility is a must, as drivers may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays depending on business demands.

Successful candidates can expect to join a team that supports growth through continuous job skills and leadership development training. Sysco offers competitive pay that includes productivity incentives, ensuring that employees are rewarded for their dedication and performance. Additionally, most drivers have daily routes and are home each night, which supports a healthy work-life balance. The company also provides comprehensive healthcare, retirement benefits, employee discounts, and paid vacation, creating a well-rounded benefits package.

This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver License and a clean driving record, underlining the company’s focus on safety and compliance. Candidates must also be capable of effective communication in English, have a keen understanding of traffic signs, and be willing to pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Preferred qualifications include previous customer delivery experience, hand cart/hand truck experience, food and beverage industry exposure, and a consistent work history, although these are not mandatory.

Working at Sysco means being part of an industry leader that values innovation, dedication, and a positive attitude. Drivers are not only responsible for delivering products, but they also represent the company and play a key role in its ongoing success. With opportunities for career advancement and a supportive environment, Sysco offers more than just a job — it offers a pathway to a rewarding career in the foodservice distribution industry. Are you ready to drive success with Sysco?
