The position demands physical stamina as drivers frequently handle freight that may weigh between 40 and 60 pounds on average, with some items weighing up to 100 pounds repeated over the course of deliveries. Flexibility is necessary since overtime, weekends, and holiday hours may be required depending on business needs.

Sysco values safety, professionalism, and consistency in its drivers. The company prefers applicants with at least one year of customer delivery experience, six months of hand cart or hand truck use experience, and food and beverage industry knowledge, although these are not strict requirements.
