Job Description

Koch Trucking is a family-owned, driver-focused transportation company that has been operating since 1978. With a rich heritage grounded in respect, excellence, safety, and innovation, Koch Trucking has established itself as a leader in full-service transportation and distribution. The company takes pride in cultivating a healthy business environment that enables both employees and customers to thrive. As a part of the larger Koch Companies, which includes six divisions specializing in various facets of transportation services such as truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing, Koch Trucking offers its drivers comprehensive opportunities and support to excel. The company has received widespread recognition, including being named a 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association and a Top 200 Workplace by Minneapolis Star Tribune. This reputable status reflects its commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and rewarding work culture.

Koch Trucking is currently hiring CDL-A flatbed company drivers to join its flatbed division. The role offers competitive compensation with an average annual earning of $88,000 and top performers making up to $95,000 annually. Additionally, new hires receive a $6,000 hiring bonus. Pay rates start at $0.64 per mile, based on experience, and drivers can expect consistent and steady miles with routes that foster familiarity with customers. The company values driver retention and work-life balance, providing home time of 14 to 21 days depending on the driver’s location and a generous paid time off (PTO) package. Drivers start accruing PTO from their first day of work, complemented by three floating holidays each year.

The compensation package also includes a comprehensive benefits plan encompassing health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, alongside a 401(k) plan with company matching. Koch Trucking’s fleet comprises newer trucks, averaging 16 months old, including Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia models fitted with driver-friendly amenities such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters. Drivers also enjoy bonuses and additional pay incentives like over-dimensional pay, stop pay, securement pay, and tarp pay, as well as a $100 bonus for loaded border crossings into Canada.

Orientation is an all-expenses-paid experience held at luxury hotels located in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA, ensuring new drivers start their journey comfortably. Additional perks include a free iPad with a data package, weekly pay, a rolling driver app, pet and rider policies, and access to a free driver’s lounge stocked with essentials like soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry soap, pizza, and sandwiches.

This CDL-A flatbed driver role at Koch Trucking offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced drivers seeking stability, competitive compensation, and numerous benefits within a family-oriented and safety-driven company. Candidates must have a valid CDL-A license and at least one year of experience hauling flatbed, step deck, or Conestoga trailers, although the company is open to considering those with varying experience levels within those parameters. Join the Koch Trucking family and enjoy a rewarding career with a leader in the transportation industry, recognized for its employee-first approach and comprehensive benefits.
