Job Description
Koch Trucking is a reputable, family-owned transportation company that has been driver-focused since 1978. As a prominent player in the trucking and logistics industry, Koch Trucking has built its reputation on respect, excellence, safety, and innovation. These core values have been instrumental in helping the company grow into a full-service transportation and distribution leader. Offering a wide range of services, including dedicated routes, regional deliveries, flatbed trucking, marine transportation, and specialized shipping solutions, Koch Trucking provides a flexible working environment tailored to meet both its drivers' needs and its customers’ unique shipping requirements. As part of the larger Koch Companies group, which encompasses six divisions, Koch Trucking benefits from a diverse portfolio of services including truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing. This integration within a larger company allows drivers at Koch Trucking to enjoy job stability and access to comprehensive industry resources.
Koch Trucking is currently hiring CDL-A flatbed company drivers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional drivers to join a respected team known for competitive pay, top-tier benefits, and a family-like culture. The average annual earnings for drivers in this position is $88,000, with top performers earning up to $95,000 annually. Day-one benefits include a $6,000 hiring bonus. Pay is competitive from the start at $0.64 per mile (CPM) and adjusts based on experience, emphasizing the company’s commitment to rewarding skilled drivers.
Flatbed drivers at Koch Trucking enjoy consistent, steady miles with familiar customer routes, fostering a sense of regularity and stability in their work. Home time is thoughtfully managed, with drivers typically out on the road for 14 to 21 days based on their location, allowing ample time back at home. The company supports its drivers with a strong PTO package that accrues starting from the very first day, including three floating holidays annually, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Beyond the base compensation, Koch Trucking offers a suite of additional pay incentives. These include over-dimensional load pay, stop pay, payment for securement and tarp handling, and bonuses for long hauls or crossing borders. Drivers choosing to cross into Canada gain an additional bonus, highlighting the company’s broad operating territory and appreciation for drivers who take on specialized routes.
The equipment fleet at Koch Trucking is modern and well-maintained with all trucks being 3 years old or newer, the average age being only 16 months. Truck models such as Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia come equipped with driver-friendly features including refrigerators, leather interiors, double bunks, built-in inverters, and more, delivering a comfortable and convenient driving experience.
Koch Trucking also offers all-expenses-paid orientation sessions in luxury hotels located in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA, to ensure new hires are well-prepared and welcomed into the company.
Additional perks include weekly pay, free iPads with data packages to keep drivers connected with their families, robust rider and pet policies, access to the Rolling Strong driver app, and complimentary driver lounge amenities such as personal care products and food items like pizza and sandwiches.
This role requires a valid Class A CDL and a minimum of one year of driving experience. While preferred experience includes hauling flatbed, step deck, or Conestoga trailers, this is not strictly mandatory. Koch Trucking looks for dependable, skilled drivers who are committed to safety and customer service and offers an unparalleled work environment that supports their success and wellbeing.
Joining Koch Trucking means becoming part of a company that values its employees and provides a stable, rewarding career path with comprehensive benefits and competitive pay. It’s an opportunity to work for an industry leader that consistently ranks among the best workplaces for women in transportation and has earned recognition for workplace excellence. Start driving with Koch Trucking today and be part of a team that truly cares about its drivers’ professional and personal success.
