Their responsibilities include performing safety inspections before and after trips in adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, maintaining compliance with all safety and company driving guidelines, and managing the secure loading and unloading of freight. Beyond the technical driving skills, drivers act as ambassadors of the company by professionally communicating with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and problem resolution. They also play a vital role in documenting and reporting safety concerns, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and functionality, and upholding company standards in every aspect of the delivery process.
