The position available at The Briar Team is for a CDL A Driver with tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a critical role responsible for safely delivering fuel and maneuvering heavy equipment across company-owned sites within a specific range in Central Florida. The Driver will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the loading and unloading of fuel adhering strictly to all governmental and company regulations, the safe operation and transport of heavy equipment, and maintenance of transportation vehicles by performing routine safety inspections and minor equipment repairs. This role requires adherence to company policies and state and federal laws related to safe truck operation. Candidates for this position must demonstrate physical capability as the job includes maneuvering equipment and handling materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

Working hours are primarily Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with Saturdays as needed. This schedule emphasizes work-life balance by eliminating overnight or long-haul travel requirements. The job location range spans from Palm Coast, FL, to St Cloud, FL, covering a significant part of Central Florida. Job Requirements

  • CDL Class A license with tanker and Hazmat endorsement required
  • ability to safely navigate on and off equipment using 3-point contact
  • ability to pick up and carry 50-75 pounds
  • authorization to work in the United States
  • successful completion of drug test
  • willingness to work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • must comply with company drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • CDL Class A license with tanker and Hazmat endorsement
  • ability to safely operate commercial vehicles
  • knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance
  • physical ability to carry and maneuver 50-75 pounds
  • prior experience in a driving role preferred but not mandatory
  • strong communication and record-keeping skills
  • ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance

Job Duties

  • Loads and unloads trucks with fuel adhering to all company and governmental regulations
  • safely operates, ties down and maneuvers heavy equipment for transport
  • safely operates trucks according to company policies and state/federal laws
  • maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, nozzles and other related articles as necessary
  • performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by company policy
  • reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to fleet manager
  • completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established company procedures
  • knowledge of, and ability to use, auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading and use spill kits and fire extinguisher
