As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases and healthcare services with operations in 60 countries and a workforce of approximately 66,500 employees, Airgas supports millions of customers and patients with high-quality products and expert service.
Based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Airgas is currently hiring experienced CDL A Drivers with Hazmat endorsements for their Bulk Cryogenic Logistics unit (AMG-HDS). The position includes a day shift schedule with weekend work and frequent layovers lasting 3-5 days, making it an excellent opportunity for drivers who appreciate consistent work and a structured environment.
The CDL A Driver Hazmat, LH2 position involves the safe and efficient operation of tractor-trailer combinations to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases, including cryogenic and specialty gases, to various customers or storage sites. Drivers must conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance, proactively addressing any maintenance needs. Additionally, the role requires timely reporting of any accidents, safety concerns, traffic citations, and customer feedback to supervisors as a priority. Adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies is essential, including the completion of all mandatory records and documentation.
Airgas emphasizes employee well-being by providing comprehensive family benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and disability coverage. To support employees with families, the company also offers up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits. Retirement planning is well supported through a 401(k) plan featuring company matching, alongside tuition assistance programs and generous paid time off encompassing holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Employees gain early access to benefits, which begin after only 30 days of employment, ensuring quick support for their health and financial security.
This role is ideal for skilled CDL A drivers who are at least 21 years old with over three years of tractor-trailer driving experience, possessing the required class A CDL with Hazmat, Doubles, and Tanker endorsements. Preferably, candidates will have experience handling tanker vehicles and doubles, along with technical knowledge of cryogenic and specialty gases, which aids in managing cargo safely and effectively within Airgas' unique industrial environment.
At Airgas, diversity is not just welcomed but honored and valued. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected status. Airgas also complies with federal regulations regarding veteran and disability accommodations, ensuring a workplace that is accessible and fair for everyone.
