The role is designed for experienced, safety-conscious drivers capable of managing both intrastate and interstate transportation routes, including local, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Drivers are responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks and ensuring products arrive on time and in excellent condition. This role is not only about driving but also represents the face of Core-Mark to customers, emphasizing customer service excellence and building lasting relationships.

Drivers must adhere to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring safety and compliance in every aspect of their work. From performing safety inspections and maintaining accurate delivery paperwork to loading, unloading, and securing loads, each duty contributes to the smooth operation of the supply chain and the maintenance of Core-Mark’s high standards.

Safety is paramount in this role, with drivers required to perform pre- and post-trip inspections to identify and report any safety hazards or vehicle issues. Communication skills are essential, as drivers interact regularly with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner. Additionally, the role demands physical stamina for handling and moving freight, often requiring hand-lifting and the use of equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates. Successful candidates must have a clean driving record, meet state licensing requirements, pass drug and background checks, and possess or be able to obtain a valid DOT health card.
