The company operates in numerous locations nationwide, offering opportunities for professional growth and competitive compensation.
Currently, Penske is seeking full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers to join their team. This position offers an average annual salary of $92,000, along with attractive incentives such as a $5,000 retention bonus and an additional $3,000 safety bonus annually. This opportunity is ideal for drivers looking for local routes that enable them to be home daily, promoting a balanced work-life schedule. Penske provides late model trucks equipped with the latest comfort features and advanced safety technologies including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure driver and load protection.
As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products. Pallet breakdown is not required, reducing physical strain and enhancing delivery efficiency. Multiple scheduling options are available, including a late evening start time at 11 pm, with the opportunity to earn an additional $200 incentive for taking a sixth day of work weekly. The consistent local routes guarantee home every day, which benefits drivers who seek stable personal routines alongside their professional responsibilities.
Penske regards the well-being of its employees as paramount and provides a comprehensive benefits package from day one. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement plans, and health coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision care. Additional support includes short and long-term disability insurance, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, and an employee discount program. Penske further motivates drivers through a driver referral bonus program with rewards up to $5,000 per successful referral and numerous safety incentive programs. Recognition of excellence is celebrated via the Premier Driver Recognition Program, all structured to cultivate a rewarding career environment.
This role is suited for individuals holding a Class A CDL license with demonstrated experience behind the wheel of tractor-trailer trucks. Penske prioritizes safety and compliance, requiring candidates to hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card. Drivers must have a clean driving record with minimal moving violations or accidents within the last three years and comply with federal, state, and agency transportation regulations. The ability to maintain regular attendance and English language proficiency is mandatory to ensure adherence to safety standards and smooth communication.
Joining Penske means becoming part of a company that values integrity, safety, and driver satisfaction. This position is an excellent career move for dedicated professionals eager to work with cutting-edge equipment, receive competitive compensation, and enjoy the benefits of a structured yet flexible schedule. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
