Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- age 21 or older
- meet state licensing and certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- possess or obtain DOT Health Card
- able to lift and move products averaging 10-35 pounds and up to 90 pounds using equipment
- reliable and punctual
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to follow DOT regulations and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A
- must be 21+ years of age
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move product cases/freight of varying size and weight
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
- reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- immediately reports all safety hazards
- inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of products loaded
- checks and completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unloads products from trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders per policy
- verifies delivery with customer and obtains proper signatures
- collects money where required
- loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are secured and locked
- unloads damaged goods and returns, completes necessary paperwork
- performs daily record of hours of service and enters log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- secures all equipment and completes paperwork at end of shift
- performs other related duties as assigned
