With a workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a workplace culture deeply rooted in safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. The company empowers its associates to contribute ideas, take initiatives, and make informed decisions, thereby cultivating a dynamic and engaging professional environment. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, Airgas benefits from a worldwide presence in 60 countries with around 66,500 employees serving more than 4 million customers and patients. This extensive reach and deep industry expertise make Airgas an attractive employer for professionals looking to develop long-term, fulfilling careers in a supportive workplace culture.

This particular role is for a Class A CDL Driver based in Anchorage, Alaska, focused on safe and reliable delivery of bulk gaseous products using a modern fleet of vehicles equipped with advanced technology. The driver will operate tractor-trailers with tanks, flatbeds, and dry vans to transport liquid gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, and cylinders containing various gases. The position offers an average annual pay ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 depending on travel locations, and requires flexibility in scheduling with some overnight travel. However, the employer strives to allow drivers to return home daily when possible.

The CDL Driver's responsibilities include maintaining courteous and professional interactions with customers, ensuring the safe loading and unloading of gases, conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and managing repairs or emergency fixes, including in remote areas of Alaska. This role demands a mechanically inclined candidate able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions. Airgas provides a fully supported environment with driver-friendly technology like onboard computers, collision avoidance systems, and camera technology to enhance safety and efficiency. Benefits for this role are comprehensive, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, retirement plans with company matching, tuition assistance, and paid time off starting after just 30 days of employment.

Working as a CDL Driver for Airgas means being an integral part of a company that respects, honors, and values diversity, inclusivity, and innovation. The role is not just about delivery but also about forming lasting relationships with customers and contributing positively to a supportive workplace culture. Ideal candidates thrive in environments where teamwork and perseverance through challenges are rewarded with career advancement and personal growth. This opportunity is tailored for those who appreciate a blend of independence, responsibility, and community within their work. The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, reinforcing its wide-reaching commitment to inclusivity and employee well-being.
