As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader with presence in 60 countries and a workforce of around 66,500 employees, Airgas shares its parent company's dedication to excellence in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare. Serving millions of customers and patients worldwide, Airgas is a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking organization that values the unique contributions of every employee.
Airgas is currently hiring for the position of CDL A Bulk Driver based in Anchorage, AK, to operate within the Arctic Spur region. This role requires the safe and timely delivery of bulk gaseous products such as Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, and Liquid CO2 using tractor-trailer equipment including tankers, flatbeds, and dry vans. Drivers will haul cylinders with various gases on flatbed trucks as part of their responsibilities. The work schedule offered is flexible to accommodate different availability, with a focus on enabling drivers to get home daily, although overnight travel is part of the role. Compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on the travel location.

The company emphasizes professional and courteous interactions with customers, maintaining high standards for product quality and service. Drivers conduct comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections and engage in routine vehicle maintenance, including troubleshooting mechanical issues in remote areas to ensure smooth operations. This role is suited for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are comfortable driving manual transmissions and handling equipment safely. Airgas treasures a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and shared successes.
Beyond competitive pay, Airgas provides an extensive benefits package designed to support all aspects of employees' lives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, paid parental leave up to 14 weeks, 401(k) retirement plans with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Benefits start after just 30 days of employment, underscoring the company's commitment to its workforce.
