Job Description
Trulite is a prominent company in the logistics and transportation sector, known for its commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence. As a leader in the industry, Trulite offers comprehensive benefit coverage and emphasizes a supportive work environment that values diversity and inclusion. The company is dedicated to providing immediate access to essential health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits from the very first day of employment. Additionally, Trulite offers financial protection plans such as short and long-term disability coverage, helping employees navigate unexpected non-occupational injuries with confidence and security. Beyond physical health benefits, Trulite fosters financial independence through a robust 401k plan with an employer match that becomes 100% vested after just one year of service. The company also supports employees who participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions matched and vested immediately, underscoring their commitment to long-term financial wellness. Trulite's work culture is deeply rooted in inclusivity, embracing and encouraging diversity across numerous facets such as age, ethnicity, gender identity, physical and mental ability, race, religion, sexual orientation, and veteran status among others. This commitment ensures an equitable workplace where every employee's unique characteristics and perspectives are valued. The company maintains a drug-free workplace policy with mandatory pre-employment testing as a condition of employment, reinforcing a safe and professional work atmosphere.
The Class A Driver position at Trulite is designed for individuals who bring a high level of dedication and expertise in over-the-road driving, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. This role is a day shift position, with start times ranging from 3 AM to 6 AM, continuing until assigned routes are completed. Overtime opportunities are available based on workload demands. Compensation ranges from $24 to $28 per hour, commensurate with experience, and a quarterly safety bonus offers additional earning potential for safe driving practices.
The role specifically requires the ability to operate trucks with manual transmissions without any license restrictions. Candidates are expected to have a good driving record, be familiar with pre- and post-trip inspections, and adept at using online log systems for compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include driving trucks to various destinations, distributing receipts, sometimes collecting payments, maintaining truck logs, and communicating delivery instructions via telephone or radio. Loading and unloading duties are also part of the role, as is inspecting truck equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels to ensure operational safety. Securing cargo during transit by positioning blocks and tying ropes is another essential duty.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience driving post-CDL school, have passed driver testing and DOT physical and drug testing, and hold a current and active Class A driver’s license with a good driving history. Previous experience with Moffett forklifts and warehouse work is highly desirable but training will also be provided for candidates willing to learn. Physical endurance is important for this role due to the demands of lifting heavy loads (up to 75 lbs independently or 150 lbs with assistance) and performing extensive walking in varying weather conditions throughout the year. Basic math skills, English literacy, and map reading capabilities are also essential.
Overall, this opportunity with Trulite is ideal for motivated drivers who value safety, customer service, and a company culture focused on employee benefits and diversity. Candidates who meet the criteria will find a supportive employer that prioritizes their health, financial stability, and professional growth.
