This company is more than just a retailer; it is committed to fostering a values-driven culture centered on integrity, teamwork, and community support. Ace Hardware not only supports its stores but also impacts local communities through philanthropic efforts such as the Ace Foundation, which partners with organizations like Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Habitat for Humanity. The company places great emphasis on employee well-being and has established resources like the Ace Helpful Fund to assist team members facing emergencies.
Joining Ace Hardware means becoming part of a team characterized by a warm, welcoming environment grounded in core values summarized by the acronym W.E.L.I.G.H.T. (Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, and Teamwork). This culture fosters an atmosphere where employees feel respected, valued, and motivated to contribute their best every day. The company prides itself on promoting diversity and equal employment opportunities to create an inclusive workforce. Ace Hardware’s commitment to its employees is reflected in comprehensive benefits, ongoing training programs, and long-term career paths within its multiple distribution centers and corporate headquarters.
The Professional Truck Driver role at Ace Hardware’s Rocklin, CA distribution center offers a unique opportunity to be a critical component of the supply chain enabling direct-to-store deliveries. Drivers act as the face of Ace, representing the company on the road and providing excellent customer service to its retailers. This position is vital to maintaining the quality and reliability of product delivery while upholding Ace’s standard of helpfulness at every touchpoint. Safety is the company’s top priority, with Ace investing in the latest tools, equipment, and safety training to ensure drivers operate in a secure environment. The company supports work-life balance by prioritizing ample home time and supporting wellbeing.
Compensation for Ace drivers averages $91,000 annually, with additional opportunities to earn safety bonuses of up to $2,000. Full-time employees benefit from a package that includes competitive pay, paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay, as well as comprehensive health coverage spanning medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. The company offers a generous 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions, a driver incentive program, and numerous other perks such as tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, and adoption cost reimbursement. There are also strong opportunities for advancement, with many leaders having started as drivers and grown into leadership roles within the company.
This position requires a valid CDL with hazardous materials endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. While a minimum of one year of Class A tractor/trailer on-road driving experience is preferred, applicants with less experience may be eligible for an accelerated training program. Ace Hardware is committed to a safe and respectful workplace free from discrimination and expects no convictions related to reckless driving within the past three years. By joining Ace Hardware, drivers become part of a legacy of helpfulness and a growing company that values their contribution and development.
