We are looking for passionate CDL-A Delivery Drivers who have a traveler’s soul and a strong desire to explore the heart of the USA while advancing their driving career. This role is specifically designed for individuals who enjoy the open road and are willing to travel extensively to assist McLane's divisions across the country whenever needed, sometimes for long stretches. Drivers can expect industry-leading pay, ranging from $57,200 to $152,838 annually, along with comprehensive benefits from day one including medical, dental, vision insurance, and company-paid life insurance. As a CDL-A Delivery Driver at McLane, you will play a critical role in helping to keep goods moving across the nation’s distribution centers. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough pre and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, managing delivery paperwork accurately, skillfully maneuvering tractor-trailers on highways and customer premises, and carefully documenting delivery receipts, product conditions, and any exceptions in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. Being adaptable, reliable, and safety-driven is vital, as the role demands flexibility to travel to any distribution center at any time while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and dedication. Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license
  • Minimum of 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English effectively

Job Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely

Job Duties

  • Help McLane Company divisions located across the USA
  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises
  • Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
  • Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises
  • Other duties as assigned
