This position is for an entry-level Driver Trainee role designed to provide hands-on training and experience in operating a tractor trailer or straight truck for local, intrastate, or interstate routes. The training involves early morning dispatches on local routes from Monday through Friday with the employee returning home daily. Training includes pay at $25.02 per hour with boots and protective gear provided by the company for safety. The role requires learning to safely deliver various food and food-related products to customers while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

The Driver Trainee will work closely with a driver trainer, assisting in executing deliveries, performing required safety checks, and participating in the loading and unloading of freight. The role emphasizes professionalism when interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are accurate and timely. The trainee will also be responsible for completing necessary paperwork, performing damage control checks, securing freight, and maintaining cleanliness in the tractor and trailer.
