The role available is for a Delivery Driver with SYGMA Kentucky, which comes with a competitive salary range averaging between $100,000 and $125,000 per year, with top earners making up to $130,000 annually. This is a full-time position with no travel required, working primarily in the local area. Employees benefit from paid training, eight paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) and stock purchase plans, and a guaranteed minimum pay of $1,500 per week with at least one year of experience. This position operates on an evening dispatch schedule from Sunday through Friday.
Delivery Drivers at SYGMA Kentucky are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of food and beverage products from the warehouse to various customer locations using tractor-trailer vehicles. Drivers use a hybrid delivery system involving both pallet jacks and traditional ramp methods, allowing for an efficient, streamlined delivery process. This position requires handling products carefully to comply with food safety protocols, maintaining proper temperature controls, and ensuring products are delivered without damage or contamination.
Essential to the role are the responsibilities of loading and unloading products, managing customer returns and damaged goods, completing all required paperwork accurately, and maintaining excellent customer relationships through courteous and effective communication. The delivery drivers also play a key role in maintaining sanitary conditions within the warehouse, yard, tractor, and trailer.
SYGMA Kentucky values safety, adherence to DOT regulations, and company policies, as well as the ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team environment. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling products weighing up to 350 pounds using hand carts. Drivers must be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including wet, hot, cold, and humid environments, and be flexible to meet customer demands that may require overtime, weekend work, or varying start times.
Applicants must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with at least one year of verifiable tractor-trailer food and/or beverage delivery experience. The ability to read, write, and communicate in English, including understanding traffic signs, completing reports, and conversing with customers, is mandatory. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong skills in safe driving practices, problem-solving, and customer service, alongside a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in every delivery.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree
- Minimum 1 year tractor trailer food service delivery driving experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 350 pounds
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including wet, hot, cold and humid
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
- Must maintain regular and predictable attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree or completion of a tractor trailer driving school
- Minimum of 1 year verifiable Class A CDL food and/or beverage delivery driving experience

- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines

Job Duties
- Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations on assigned routes
- Unloads product from trailers using hand carts or manually, adhering to customer specifications and company standards
- Picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports products back to the warehouse
- Completes all paperwork accurately and timely, including DOT logs, inspections, and invoices
- Ensures all food safety protocols are followed, maintaining proper product temperatures and sanitary conditions
- Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment including hand carts and pallets
- Develops and maintains excellent customer relationships through courteous service and effective communication
