The Sygma Northern California location, zip code 95206, is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Tractor Trailer Driver to join their team. This full-time role involves the safe and efficient transportation of products from the warehouse directly to various customer locations with zero travel percentage beyond assigned routes. The compensation range spans from $10.00 to $48.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and other qualifying factors, with participation eligibility in Sysco’s company Incentive Plan. Drivers can expect average annual earnings of approximately $118,000, with top performers exceeding $190,000 annually. Additionally, the role offers a weekly minimum guarantee of $1,400 along with comprehensive benefits beginning the first of the month following 31 days of employment.

The Tractor Trailer Driver position primarily involves evening dispatch shifts, Sunday through Friday, ensuring product is delivered and unloaded according to customer invoices and company standards. Essential duties include operating 3-axle tractors and 45' to 48' trailers safely in various weather and traffic conditions, unloading goods manually or with equipment, maintaining all required documentation, ensuring food safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires physical stamina to lift and maneuver products weighing up to 50 pounds and push carts with loads up to 350 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to weather elements and mechanical equipment, occasionally under challenging conditions that require adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent with a minimum of one year of tractor trailer driving experience or equivalent training from a driving school. A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is mandatory, alongside the ability to maintain vehicle insurability. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, safe lifting and delivery practices, and proficiency in operation of assigned equipment is critical. Strong communication skills in English, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction are essential. Sysco offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid holidays, floating holidays, 401(k) plans, and the Sysco Stock Purchase Plan to support our valued employees.

Joining Sysco means becoming part of a leading foodservice distribution enterprise dedicated to operational excellence, safety, and service quality. It offers an engaging career path for disciplined, motivated drivers wanting to make a significant impact within a reputable and well-established company.
