The role of a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver at Core-Mark is critical to the nation’s food supply chain. Delivery drivers are entrusted with ensuring that customers receive their products on schedule, in good condition, and in compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations. Beyond transportation, drivers are the face of Core-Mark, representing the company and building lasting relationships with customers. The position involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate, interstate, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight orders. Drivers are required to maintain high safety standards through rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections and active reporting of any safety concerns or vehicle repairs. They are responsible for accurately handling delivery paperwork, managing customer invoicing, and securing freight. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience with tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for past three years
- Ability to pass a post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Must pass road test
- Have or obtain a valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gates to move and stack products
- Must be comfortable running team routes
- Willingness to work 3 dispatches per week
- Must be willing to have 2 or more overnights per week
Job Qualifications

- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience with tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable

- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases and freight
Job Duties
- Perform safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections
- Inspect tractor, truck, and trailer to meet DOT and company safety standards
- Report all safety issues and required repairs
- Follow all DOT regulations and safe driving guidelines
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks of loaded items and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks and report to supervisor
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately secured
- Unload damaged goods and returns and complete related paperwork
- Maintain daily records of hours of service and comply with Federal DOT and company requirements
- Keep tractor, loading dock, and trailers clean and secure
- Perform other related duties as assigned
