Job Description

McLane is a prominent leader in the distribution industry with over 130 years of experience moving, supplying, and providing for America’s favorite brands. Established in 1894, McLane has built an extensive nationwide network of team members serving key sectors such as restaurant, retail, and e-commerce industries. Their longstanding history and commitment to excellence have made them a trusted partner to clients and a preferred employer for delivery drivers who value stability and growth opportunities. The company is dedicated to maintaining agility through embracing new technology and continuous team member training while fostering a people-centered culture that respects diversity and inclusion. McLane’s drivers are integral to the company’s success, working diligently to uphold safety and reliability standards that define the industry leader.

The position available is for a CDL-A Delivery Driver who will benefit from industry-leading pay and competitive work schedules designed to promote excellent work-life balance. Drivers typically work an average of 48 hours per week on a four-day schedule, with pay ranging between $38 to $49 per hour, translating to an annual earning potential of up to $95,000 depending on experience. This role requires a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service, with most routes being local — approximately 90% — which supports getting home safely and more often. McLane delivers comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, paid holidays, vacation time, sick leave accrual, a 401(k) profit-sharing plan after 90 days, and additional perks such as pet insurance and tuition reimbursement.

As a CDL-A Delivery Driver, the individual will be responsible for inspecting tractor-trailers for defects before and after trips, ensuring all necessary paperwork like bill of lading and store keys are accurate, and driving tractor-trailers in compliance with commercial driving regulations. Maintaining detailed and accurate driver logs, unloading trailers, and delivering products efficiently into customer premises are fundamental duties. Drivers will need to be adaptable, focused on safety, reliable, and dedicated to meeting the rigorous demands of the job while providing excellent service. McLane strongly supports a work environment that emphasizes respect, diversity, and equal opportunity, welcoming candidates from all backgrounds and ensuring fair consideration throughout the hiring process.
