Job Description
McLane Company is a distinguished leader in the distribution industry with a rich history spanning over 130 years, since its establishment in 1894. With an expansive nationwide network, McLane serves key sectors including restaurant, retail, and e-commerce industries. The company's long-standing success is built on reliability, safety, and strong client relationships, enabling it to maintain agility and responsiveness to client needs throughout decades of changing market dynamics. McLane embraces innovation and the latest technology to enhance operational efficiency and service quality, while fostering a people-centered culture that values employee development and well-being.
McLane is seeking dedicated CDL-A Delivery Drivers to join its team and take their careers further with industry-leading pay and benefits. The role offers a unique opportunity to work with one of America's favorite brands, contributing to the efficient supply and distribution network that supports a variety of customer needs. Drivers are at the heart of McLane's success, moving goods safely and reliably across the country. The company prioritizes driver safety, provides secure and consistent work schedules, and ensures timely home time to promote work-life balance and job satisfaction.
As a CDL-A Delivery Driver at McLane, individuals will work primarily on a 4-day workweek schedule, engaging in deliveries that utilize side lift gates, small pallets, and electric pallet sleds—a combination that offers a blend of hands-on operation and safety-oriented equipment use. Drivers are entrusted with the inspection and maintenance of tractor-trailers, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation standards and company policies. They will also manage delivery documentation, including bill of lading accuracy and driver logs, using manual or electronic systems like Peoplenet.
McLane values experienced and safety-focused drivers who take pride in delivering excellent service. Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with top earners making up to $110,000, supplemented by a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 depending on experience. From day one, drivers receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and company-paid life insurance. Additional perks include paid holidays, vacation and sick leave accrual, a 401(k) profit-sharing plan after 90 days, pet insurance, maternity and paternity leave, employee assistance and discount programs, as well as tuition reimbursement. These benefits contribute to a supportive workplace that empowers its employees to thrive.
At McLane, the commitment to safety, reliability, adaptability, and dedication is paramount. The company actively promotes a diverse and inclusive environment, offering equal opportunity employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Candidates may be subject to background checks and drug screenings as part of hiring protocols. For more detailed information on equal employment opportunity policies and pay transparency, prospective employees are encouraged to visit the McLane website.
