Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 6 months experience driving tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Meet all state licensing or certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or secure valid DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight weighing 10-90 pounds
- Must be ok running team routes
- Must be ok with 2+ overnights per week
- Willing to perform 3 dispatches per week
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience with tractor trailers
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Passes post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Passes road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate or other equipment to move product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights throughout shift
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure company safety standards are met and takes appropriate action as needed
- Reports all safety issues and repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of loaded products
- Completes all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items and scans or contacts supervisor about removing orders per company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
- Collects money where required
- Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and always secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
- Performs daily record of hours of service and enters logs per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps trailers clear and clean
- Secures all equipment and completes necessary paperwork at shift end
- Performs other related duties as assigned
