The role of Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is essential in maintaining the integrity of the food supply chain across the country. Delivery Drivers serve a pivotal function by ensuring that food and food-related products arrive safely, punctually, and in excellent condition to the customers. Acting as the company's face, drivers cultivate lasting relationships with customers through professional interaction and reliable service. This position involves driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes including local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight runs. Delivery Drivers must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations while performing pre-and post-trip safety inspections, reporting issues, and safely handling cargo.

This position offers competitive compensation, with pay ranging from $70,000 to $75,000 annually, starting at $22.50 per hour during training before transitioning to the supply chain management pay scale. The workweek is Tuesday through Friday, with dispatch times generally between 4 am and 6 am, and employees are home daily. As a Delivery Driver, responsibilities include performing thorough safety checks of vehicles and trailers, ensuring freight is properly loaded and secured, completing all required paperwork accurately, and reporting any safety or operational issues promptly. Drivers are also responsible for unloading products, verifying deliveries with customers, securing equipment and freight, and adhering strictly to federal, state, and company policies. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move product cases ranging from 10 to over 90 pounds, utilizing equipment such as lift gates and two-wheelers.
