Drivers will also be responsible for unloading freight, managing product returns, and performing general housekeeping to keep their equipment and work areas clean and safe. The role demands attention to detail, physical capability to handle freight weighing from 10 pounds up to as much as 90 pounds depending on location, and a commitment to abiding by all safety and regulatory requirements. Drivers must maintain a clean motor vehicle report, pass drug and background checks, and possess a valid CDL-A license.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Age 21 or older
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or maintain valid DOT Health Card
- Physically able to handle freight weighing between 10 and up to 90 pounds using appropriate equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
- Product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to approximately 60-90 pounds depending on location
Job Duties
- Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner
- Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company
- Performs all required safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer as per Department of Transportation regulations
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- Checks and completes in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
- Collects money where required and loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and completes necessary paperwork
- Performs daily record of hours of service and enters in log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area keeping trailers clear and clean
- Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork at the end of shift
- Performs other related duties as assigned
