Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree
- Minimum 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of employment
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and safety compliance
- Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering hand carts
- Willingness to work overnight, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
- Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree preferred
- Completion of a tractor trailer driving school is accepted in place of a high school diploma
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Skill in operating tractor-trailers over long distances and varying conditions
- Good problem-solving and customer communication skills
- Ability to meet or exceed minimum productivity standards
- Experience handling hazardous and perishable food products
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy loads and operate delivery equipment safely
Job Duties
- Safely transport product from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned routes
- unload product by hand or using hand carts in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas
- pick up, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns and transport back to warehouse
- complete all paperwork including DOT logs, inspections and maintenance reports accurately and timely
- maintain food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer and warehouse
- follow preferred work methods and report unsafe conditions immediately
- develop and maintain good customer relationships through excellent service
- communicate any route deviations or product issues to management
- work assigned schedules including overnight, weekends and holidays as needed
- perform other duties as assigned by management
