Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures product is delivered on a timely basis according to assigned route
  • unloads product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps stairs or docks in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards
  • picks up loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports products back to SYGMA warehouse
  • ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines including DOT electronic or manual logs inspections company vehicle maintenance reports pre and post-trip reports and accurate timely invoicing and reporting of damages and shortages
  • ensures all food safety protocols are met such as maintaining proper temperatures inspecting product for damages and preventing cross contamination and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and assists with warehouse and yard sanitation
  • follows preferred work methods and advises management of any unsafe conditions immediately
  • maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment including hand cart pallets load bars SLS unit and personal protective equipment
  • develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent courteous service with clear communication
  • communicates with management regarding any deviations to route trailer or loading issues and or customer or product issues
  • safely transports product picked up via backhauls and line hauls ensuring correct and timely delivery
  • works assigned schedule and outside usual work schedule as needed exhibiting regular and predictable attendance
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
