This scale ensures that drivers and employees alike are part of a highly respected and resource-rich company committed to excellence and continuous growth. Working at Sygma Columbus means being part of a team that values stability, career growth, and competitive compensation.
The role being offered is for a Delivery Driver who will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customer locations using tractor trailers. This position offers full-time employment with a competitive pay range between $10.00 and $48.00 per hour, dependent on experience, skills, and other factors. First-year drivers can earn up to $95,000 annually with the opportunity for top earners to reach $130,000, making it a lucrative opportunity for dedicated professionals. Drivers typically run 2 to 4 routes per week, with most routes completed within 24 hours. In this role, drivers are expected to deliver and unload products while following specific customer and company standards, ensuring product safety and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include handling foodservice products under various weather conditions, performing proper documentation like DOT logs and maintenance reports, and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of both the tractor-trailer and the product. Drivers develop strong customer relationships by providing courteous and professional service. The company supports employees with ongoing safety training and a focus on teamwork and personal development, encouraging drivers to meet productivity goals and develop their careers within the organization.
The work environment involves physical activities such as lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds and using hand carts to move products up to 350 pounds. Drivers must be comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor weather extremes, and be prepared to work overnight shifts and weekends if needed.
