Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Valid class A commercial driver's license
- Ability to operate a tractor trailer safely in varying conditions
- Eligible and insurable to operate commercial vehicle
- Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and maneuvering loaded hand cart
- Ability to maintain compliance with food safety and DOT standards
Job Qualifications
- Valid class A commercial driver's license
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree preferred
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school is acceptable
- Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to operate onboard computer and handle basic math functions
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for safety and communication
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks placing product in designated areas according to customer specifications
- Ensure accurate completion of paperwork including DOT logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery invoices
- Maintain all food safety protocols including proper temperature control and preventing product contamination
- Develop and maintain good customer relationships by providing courteous communication and service
- Operate 3 axle tractor and 45' - 48' trailer safely in various traffic and weather conditions
- Report any damages or shortages promptly to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
