Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- One year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred or completion of tractor trailer driving school
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must be insurable to operate company vehicle
- Ability to lift and move products up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart
- Ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying start times
- Physical capability to climb in/out of tractor, bend and twist while loading and unloading
- Ability to meet minimum productivity levels as set by company
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree or completion of a tractor trailer driving school
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines and safe delivery practices
- Skill in driving long distances and communicating effectively with customers
- Ability to operate 3 axle tractor and 45'-48' trailer, straight truck, onboard computer and hand cart
- Basic math skills
- Ability to speak and understand English sufficiently
- Ability to plan and organize work independently
- Problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and company standards
- Complete all paperwork according to company and governmental guidelines including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery invoices
- Ensure all food safety protocols are met including maintaining proper vehicle temperatures, inspecting products, and preventing cross contamination while maintaining sanitary conditions of tractor, trailer, warehouse, and yard
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Maintain compliance with hazardous materials handling and DOT regulations
- Operate and maintain vehicle equipment effectively
