Job Description

PFG Customized Distribution is a leading foodservice distributor dedicated to delivering exceptional service and customized solutions for some of America’s most recognized national chain restaurants, including Cracker Barrel, TGI Friday’s, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, and Ruby Tuesday. With a nationwide reach extending across the United States and more than 40 countries globally, PFG Customized Distribution ensures that its customers receive reliable, timely, and tailored product delivery and support. As part of Performance Food Group, the company emphasizes innovation, service excellence, and a commitment to maintaining a strong and diverse workforce. The company has built a reputation for providing customized attention and maintaining a centralized contact point to manage product lines, menu changes, and account coordination efficiently.

PFG Customized Distribution is expanding to a new location in Fresno, CA, slated to open in 2026. The company is currently seeking motivated and responsible CDL-A drivers to join its delivery team for these upcoming routes. This opportunity offers a competitive weekly minimum pay starting at $1,540 when on route, with newer trucks equipped with automatic transmissions, ramp work, touch freight duties, and mixed pallets to handle. The routes include a balanced combination of solo and team runs, with out-of-state layovers scheduled twice per week, presenting an engaging and dynamic work environment for drivers who are prepared for both intrastate and interstate deliveries.

The role of Driver, Formula CDL-A, is critical to supporting America’s food supply chain. Drivers at PFG Customized Distribution are more than just delivery personnel; they serve as the face of the company, maintaining professional relationships with customers and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food service products. The ideal candidate will handle a tractor trailer or straight truck across local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes, ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Safety is paramount in this position, requiring meticulous completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections, proper loading and securing of freight, and adherence to company and regulatory safety guidelines.

Beyond the core delivery responsibilities, drivers are tasked with customer engagement, ensuring all queries are answered with professionalism and accuracy. They manage all required paperwork meticulously, perform damage checks on goods, confirm deliveries with signatures, and manage returns and cash collections where necessary. Additionally, they play a role in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment both in their vehicles and around loading docks. This position supports a culture of safety, inclusion, respect, and recognition, contributing to a positive and rewarding workplace.

PFG Customized Distribution offers a robust package of benefits from day one, including health and wellness plans, employee stock purchase options, employer-matched 401K plans, education assistance, and paid time off. Career growth opportunities abound within the company, enabling drivers to take on more responsibilities and advance as they contribute to an essential industry supporting America’s food service infrastructure.
