The role available is for a Driver, Formula CDL-A, a key position within the company’s logistics and distribution operations. This role operates with a mix of solo and team routes potentially involving out-of-state layovers twice per week, emphasizing the dynamic and broad nature of the position. Drivers will work with newer trucks and equipment that are all automatic, engaging in ramp work, touch freight handling, and managing breakdown mixed pallets, reflecting the demanding and varied nature of the job. Food and food service delivery drivers hold a critical responsibility in maintaining America’s food supply chain. The Driver, Formula CDL-A, is responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop assignments. Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is paramount to this position, along with performing necessary safety checks on trucks and trailers, managing customer orders accurately, and taking prompt action to resolve any safety concerns or delivery issues.

Drivers are expected to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers while functioning as cohesive team members within the organization. They must ensure freight security and accuracy, complete all required paperwork meticulously, and execute loading and unloading duties efficiently. This role demands physical agility to handle product cases usually weighing between 10 to 35 pounds and occasionally heavier cases ranging up to between 60 and 90 pounds. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining clean and organized equipment and workspaces are critical elements of the daily responsibilities.
