Their clientele includes well-known names such as Cracker Barrel, TGI Friday's, Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, and Ruby Tuesday. The company is committed to providing customized attention and maintains a centralized contact system for managing product lines, menu adjustments, and account coordination. Operating across the United States and extending services to more than 40 countries, PFG Customized Distribution stands as a reliable partner in the food service industry, emphasizing quality and customer satisfaction.
This employment opportunity is for the position of CDL-A Driver based in McKinney, Texas. The role offers a competitive salary of up to $90,000 annually with bi-weekly pay distribution. Flexible scheduling options are available; however, candidates must be amenable to overnight shifts. Typical delivery routes involve 3 to 4 day over-the-road runs, with home time available weekly. The CDL-A Driver plays a critical role in the company's food supply chain by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to customers. Serving as the face of PFG Customized Distribution, the driver builds and maintains lasting relationships with clients, representing the company professionally.
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate, interstate, shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop deliveries. Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety guidelines is mandatory. Drivers conduct necessary pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, report any maintenance needs or hazards, and verify load security. The role entails accurate management of all required documentation related to freight and delivery, including customer invoices and delivery logs.
In addition to transportation responsibilities, the CDL-A Driver is tasked with customer interaction, maintaining professionalism while addressing inquiries, and functioning effectively within team environments. Unloading products, verifying deliveries with customers, collecting payments where necessary, and handling returns are key duties. The position requires physical capability to lift items ranging mostly between 10 to 35 pounds, and sometimes heavier loads up to approximately 90 pounds. Drivers also perform general housekeeping duties related to the vehicle and loading dock area to maintain cleanliness and safety.
PFG Customized Distribution prides itself on offering a safe, inclusive workplace culture that rewards and recognizes employee achievements. The company provides day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and emphasizes growth opportunities within the organization. These benefits demonstrate the company's commitment to employee wellbeing and career development, making it a desirable workplace for dedicated professionals in the logistics and transportation field.
