Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL license at hire
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Successfully pass a drug test including marijuana and a background check
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
- Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with electronic consent
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license at hire
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred but newly licensed drivers are encouraged
- Ability to operate two-wheel carts with heavy loads
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy cases up to 100 pounds
- Clean driving record in compliance with DOT standards
Job Duties
- Drive a tractor-trailer to deliver food products to customer locations such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities
- Unload cases weighing up to 100 pounds using ramps and two-wheelers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Operate a two-wheel cart while handling loads up to 350 pounds during deliveries
- Follow all safety regulations and company standards including passing drug and background checks
- Complete delivery paperwork and communicate effectively in English
- Maintain a clean driving record in compliance with DOT and company standards
