Job Description

Sysco Corporation is a leading global foodservice distribution company that connects food suppliers to restaurants, healthcare, educational facilities, and hospitality businesses. With a broad product range including fresh and frozen foods, dry goods, and kitchen supplies, Sysco supports a thriving foodservice industry. Known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, Sysco emphasizes safety, reliability, and the professional growth of its employees. As a well-established organization, Sysco operates a comprehensive network of local distribution centers across the United States, including Georgia, offering stable employment opportunities in the foodservice logistics sector.

Sysco is currently seeking reliable and motivated Local CDL-A Delivery Drivers within Georgia to join its dynamic team. This is a full-time role offering a competitive base pay of up to $31.22 per hour plus overtime and bonus incentives. The compensation package places many drivers within the top 25% who earn between $110,000 and $120,000 annually. One of the key perks of this position is the local route schedules that facilitate returning home daily, coupled with a four-day work week that provides work-life balance.

The core responsibility of the delivery driver is to safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to transport a diverse range of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and other essential goods to customer locations. Drivers will be required to manually unload and deliver items, often handling products weighing between 40-60 pounds, and sometimes up to 100 pounds. Beyond driving, drivers develop strong customer relationships through a friendly and professional attitude, ensuring customers’ needs are met with exceptional service.

Sysco offers extensive benefits to support its employees’ well-being including employer-paid medical coverage (covering 80%), 401(k) matching contributions that enhance retirement savings, paid vacation and holidays, and training programs for ongoing skill development and leadership growth. The company prioritizes internal promotion, providing drivers with opportunities for career advancement. Additional perks include employee discounts, safety programs, referral incentives, tuition reimbursement, and uniform provision.

This role demands candidates to possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record, a minimum of 21 years of age, and at least one year of commercial driving experience. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and have the physical capability to move and handle freight. Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays is also required.

Sysco is committed to equal opportunity employment, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds without discrimination. By joining Sysco, drivers contribute to feeding communities while enjoying stable employment, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to grow professionally within a supportive team environment.
