The role of a US Foods Driver is a vital one, responsible for delivering food products safely and efficiently to a wide range of customers. This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $35 per hour, with the opportunity for overtime compensation. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Saturday, with shifts starting between 2 to 6 AM. This role requires a dependable individual who can manage early morning hours, work in various weather conditions, and maintain punctual delivery times.
As a US Foods Driver, you will be entrusted with operating trucks safely while adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations. Responsibilities include carefully unloading products and placing them in designated customer storage areas using equipment like pallet jacks and two-wheelers. You will ensure accuracy by verifying deliveries with customers and collecting signatures, while also handling payments when applicable. Customer service skills are essential, as drivers serve as key representatives of the company, building positive relationships with clients.
The physical aspects of this job are significant, involving the repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 20 to 80+ pounds of product. Drivers must be comfortable making frequent stops—10 or more per shift—and working in inclement weather. Pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections are mandatory to maintain the integrity and safety of the vehicle.
Prospective drivers must meet important eligibility criteria, including being at least 21 years old and possessing a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements. A minimum of six months' commercial driving experience or three months in food or beverage delivery is required. Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a federal mandate, ensuring real-time monitoring of drug and alcohol program violations to promote safety on the road.

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
